“Ukraine’s division is fatal for it,” writes a German journalist Andrea Seibel in Der Welt weekly, adding that Ukraine’s nationalist West is seeking freedom with the European Union, while Ukraine’s East wants to tie its fate with Russia. And of course, Russia for Andrea Seibel is a symbol of being not free. So far, the attitude of the vast majority of the European and American media is equally one-sided: West is good and East is bad.

Yes, indeed, Ukraine is divided and this fact is visible from different reactions in various regions of Ukraine to the tragic events in Kiev. In the Western city of Lvov the so called activists attacked a military base and blew up a depot with munitions there. In the eastern cities of Kharkov and Donetsk attempts to attack the local government offices were thwarted by the local population, which fears the rule of Ukraine’s nationalist Western regions.

NATO starts large-scale maneuvers near Russia's European borders

Large-scale maneuvers of NATO's rapid deployment forces have started near Russia's European borders.

These maneuvers, dubbed Steadfast Jazz, are NATO's largest ones within the last decade.

The maneuvers are taking place in the Baltic countries and Poland. Taking part are, in total, more than 6,000 troops, about 350 armed vehicles, 57 planes and helicopters, 11 overwater ships and 2 submarines.

Besides the alliance's forces, taking part are NATO's partners – Ukraine, Macedonia, Sweden and Finland.

scenario of this war game has an evident anti-Russian “flavor”. According to this scenario, NATO is repelling an attack of a certain state against the Baltic countries. It is not said what country is the aggressor, but the only neighbors of the Baltic states that are not taking part in the maneuvers are Russia and Belarus.

Tragedy struck in Ogbeawo Quarters, Asaba, Delta State when a mother of a 26-year-old graduate of philosophy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), who was reportedly proposed to by a Europe-based “grave digger” slumped and died a few hours later in the hospital over her daughter’s refusal to marry him.

The lady’s photographs were sent to the “lover boy” who hails from Igbanke in Edo State for approval as his wife and upon his endorsement, he sent his photograph to the lady and phone numbers for her confirmation.

We learnt that the ‘lover boy’, a graduate of chemical engineering from the University of Benin (UNIBEN) sought to be a grave digger abroad after his efforts to get a better job failed and had also sought help for a wife in Asaba through his relation who works in one of the state owned ministries.
