The Bitter truth el-Rufai & Ribadu should tell the North

Anytime the likes of Prof. Ango Abdullahi, Dr Junaid Mohammed, Mallam Adamu Ciroma, Lamido of Adamawa, Mr. Anthony Sani or any of the members of the Arewa Consultative Forum or Northern Elders Forum speak on national issues, there are some things that are constant in their speeches: Arrogance, condescension, threats, etc. If the matter has to do with national resources, two critical “words” must be present in their speeches: “Sharing” and “allocation.”
That makes you wonder: Don’t these “elders” feel that they are insulting the North by their fixation on “sharing?” Don’t they feel they are insulting the North by portraying the region as incapable of taking care of itself? Don’t the younger generation feel ridiculed by this unenviable image foisted on them by these elders? Most times when these comments fly around, the lone dissenting voice you would hear is that of Col. Abubakar Umar (retd.), a former Governor of Kaduna State.

I can’t waste my time on El-Rufai, he’s too small - Pastor Oritsejafor

In an interview with Punch today, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor responded for the first time on Mallam Nasir Elrufai's claims that the private jet he got some months back was from the presidency and not from his church members.
Your children in the ministry bought aircraft for you recently, but Mallam Nasir el-Rufai claimed it was a gift from the President. How do you feel about this?
I am glad that there are people who challenged him. I would only be dignifying him if a person at my level starts exchanging words with a small person like el-Rufai. He is too small. I will not dignify him with a response. People responded. They told him that since he knew who gave the gift, he should provide the proof, which he hasn’t done till today. Obviously, he didn’t have any proof. That is the problem with Nigeria. We continue to celebrate people like el-Rufai. He is too small for me.

El-Rufai’s ‘lambasting’ Twitter post on Jonathan sparks debate

A post on the Twitter page of a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, describing President Goodluck Jonathan as “docile”, has sparked a debate.  El-Rufai, who is the Interim Deputy National Secretary of the opposition All Progressives Congress, had on Saturday quoted a tweet and its accompanying picture of one of his followers, Lauretta Onochie, on his Twitter page, which some people deemed anti-Jonathan.

El-Rufai’s book is a collection of fiction' - Atiku Abubakar

Former FCT minister Mallam El-Rufai wrote a memoir titled The Accidental Public Servant which was unveiled in Abuja today, and in the book he criticized a few politicians...one of them former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar. In the book, El-Rufai described Atiku as a corrupt power hungry politician and alleged that he (El-Rufai) had almost resigned as the former Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) because of persistent pressure and interference by Atiku, who was then the Chairman of the National Council on Privatization
