In an interview with SaharaTV, former Minister of Petroleum, Prof. Tam David West called the bluff of his Ijaw kinsmen, saying they deceive President Goodluck Jonathan because they collect money from him. In particular, the professor of virology took on Chief Edwin Kagbodo Clark an Ijaw elder accusing him of taking money from President Jonathan. He threatened to expose, loquacious ex-Niger Delta militant, Mujahid Asari Dokubo, such that he would not be able to move to other countries, should he dare open his mouth to further insult him because of President Jonathan.

Former Ijaw Youth Council President and leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari has revealed how he met some leaders of islamist militant group, Boko Haram.

Speaking in an interview , the son of a former judge in Rivers State judiciary said while he met a lot of the leaders of the terror group while he was in solitary confinement in SSS underground for 10 months and 11 days.

Niger Delta ex-militant leader, Mujarhedeen Asari-Dokubo, has given what he calls his conditions for peace as the race for the 2015 presidential election enters its critical stage.

After his invitation last Thursday by the SSS over his inflammatory remarks on the 2015 presidential election, Asari-Dokubo insisted that he would only maintain the peace on the condition that the federal authorities call the leaders of the main opposition party, All Progressive Congress, APC, to order.

 “For me as a person, nobody can take my right to talk from me. But I have assured the SSS that if the other side (opposition) maintains decorum, we too will maintain decorum. If they don’t, we too will not. We must all be treated equally.

The President of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, Asari Dokubo has been released by the Department of State Security Services, SSS, hours after he was arrested for repeatedly making inciting comments. His personal assistant (Media) and younger brother, Rex Asari, confirmed his release to the media.

President of the Niger Delta Volunteer Force, Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, has been arrested by the men of the Department of State Security, DSS for making inciting comments on the 2015 election.

The former Niger Delta militant was arrested this morning, less than 24 hours after Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, called on security agents to arrest and caution him for repeatedly making inciting comments. He is currently being interrogated by SSS operatives.

Mallam Nasir El-Rufai said Asari Dokubo a Niger Delta freedom fighter is a thug.The former minister of Nigeria federal capital territory said so while responding to questions from saharareporters after his interogation at SSS office.

“Asari Dokubo is a thug. I don’t compare myself to him. I’ve never taken up arms against the state. I’m a normal human, law-abiding Nigerian. The leader of Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Mujahid Dokubo Asari, on Thursday called former President Olusegun Obasanjo the "Chief Assassin of all times" in response to the former leader's recent letter to President Goodluck Jonathan.


In a letter to Obasanjo, Dokubo, who has previously sworn that there will be hell on earth if Jonathan is not re-elected in 2015, rebutted Obasanjo's claim that Jonathan is training a special killer squad to hit 1000 supposed opponents of his government.

Asari Dokubo has been introduced 2 days after he was caught in Benin Republic. The best choice of the Niger Delta People's Offer force was allegedly introduced early this morning after Leader Jonathan intervened on his behalf with the Leader of Benin Republic, Yayi Boni. Sahara Reporters reports that Leader Jonathan then deployed an exclusive jet to ferry Mr. Dokubo to Abuja a couple of hours after his launch.
