Bitcoin dealers charged in US with money laundering
US authorities Monday filed criminal charges against two operators of a Bitcoin exchange which enabled its users to buy drugs and other illicit goods on the Silk Road underground website.
Federal
prosecutors said they unsealed a criminal complaint against Robert
Faiella and Charlie Shrem, who ran a company allowing people to use cash
to buy Bitcoins, a virtual currency which is based on a mysterious
computer algorithm.

Yanukovych says foreigners involved in radical actions in Kiev
Foreign citizens, who have taken part in combat actions abroad, are involved in the radical action in Kiev, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said on Friday.
"It
is not just Ukrainians who joined (the radical action) but also people
from other countries who had taken part in various regional combat
actions and who are now wanted internationally. All of them are hiding
out in occupied buildings. We know there are weapons there," Yanukovych
said during a meeting with representatives of non-government and
religious organizations.

A new Associated Press-GfK poll finds that most Americans are not impressed with Barack Obama's efforts to restore trust in government in the wake of disclosures about secret surveillance programs.
The
poll finds that Americans increasingly are placing personal privacy
ahead of being kept safe from terrorists. More than 60 percent of
respondents say they value privacy over anti-terror protections. That's
up slightly from 58 percent in a similar poll in August.

The winner for the category and others were announced at a pre-telecast yesterday evening Jan. 26th. The Afrobeat king also lost out at the Grammys in 2003, 2010 and 2011. Meaning nothing really because being nominated is a superb achievement! Femi didn't attend the awards.

A total of $88.4 billion left the shores of Nigeria to foreign lands through official channels in 2013 of which $18.3 billion was remmitted in three months thus giving an average foreign exchange outflow of $1.7 billion weekly.
This is just as the Excess Crude Account (ECA) component of foreign reserves has now fallen to just $2.5 billion, compared to $11.5 billion a year ago. The $18.3 billion went out of the country in the form of capital flight, which Nigerians indulged in.
According to figures captured by the International Remmittance unit of CBN, the amount was remitted through banks, Bureau De Change, Travel agencies and debt payment to foreign creditors to which Nigeria owes some money.

Ukraine may issue state of emergency if protesters don't leave Justice Ministry
The building of Justice Ministry has been occupied by protesters, RT reports. Local media reported that no one was hurt during the seizure of the building of the Justice Ministry in central Kiev. Following the incident, political organization Obchee Delo claimed responsibility, posting a message on their Facebook profile.
"At 22:38 security in the building called in an attempted seizure of the building. Information was confirmed, the building remains seized,” police said, according to Unian news agency.
