Car bomb hit Maiduguri

A car bomb has exploded in Maiduguri, and there are fears of many casualties, the Media reports. The incident occurred yesterday around 1pm outside the state television offices.

Blood-spattered everyone was seen fleeing and vehicles crashed into each other, while soldiers fired automatic weapons. A suicide bomber is suspected of being behind the blast, reportedly near a market. The military confirmed to the media an explosion had occurred, but didn't give a figure for casualties. An eyewitness said he had seen what appeared to be dead bodies on the ground. Another car is reported to have been set burning by the blast.

 Dozens of gay men are reported to have been arrested across northern Nigeria as police begin to enforce punitive new laws that criminalize same-sex marriages and membership of gay rights organizations.

Dorothy Aken'Ova, executive director of the country's International Centre for Reproductive Health and Sexual Rights, said that the legislation, hailed the "Jail the Gays" law, had led to mass arrests. Police in Bauchi state, she claimed, had a list of 168 purportedly gay men, of whom 38 had been arrested.

When I amm in the bath or taking shower, I wash my vaginal and anal area with plain fairly warm water first. Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), Monday signed into Law the 2014 Appropriation Bill with a pledge that the implementation would be efficient and to the benefit of the people.


The Appropriation Bill, approved late last week by the State House of Assembly, has a size of N489.69 billion with Capital Expenditure retaining its traditional higher allocation than its Recurrent counterpart at the ratio of 52 percent (representing N255.025 billion) to 48 percent (representing N234.665 billion).

A bill which takes aim at the gay lifestyle and criminalizes gay marriages with threats of long prison terms was signed in secret by Pres. Goodluck Jonathan.  While marriages by same-sex partners are growing in number worldwide, Nigeria would make the partners subject to incarceration of up to 14 years. Any marriage partnerships celebrated in other countries would be “void” in Nigeria.

Further, anyone who registers, operates or participates in gay clubs or organizations including gay rights groups, or who directly or indirectly reveals an amorous same-sex relationship would also be in violation of the new law and face up to 10 years in prison, according to the new law.

The police in Lagos State have arrested an  armed robber whose gang  was suspected to have killed the late advertising guru, Sesan Ogunro about three weeks ago.

According to Nigerian Tribune, the arrested suspect, Jonathan Nsirim was arrested after one of his girlfriends  was arrested in connection with a robbery operation.

Nsirim later identified three other members of his dreaded gang as Ezekiel Anthony, Abiodun Amuda
and a certain Samuel. He also allegedly named a certain Fine Money and a South Africa-based soldier as other members of the dreaded armed robbery gang.

The violence in the Central African Republic has deteriorated even more as a horrifying video shows a mob dragging a person and setting him on fire in the crisis ridden Bangui area.  One person in the angry group, identified as Ouandja Magloire and nicknamed “Mad dog”, then proceeded to consume the man's leg. The cannibal is said to possess attributed this act to the fact his pregnant wife, sister-in-law and nephew were killed by Muslims.

The victim was hauled from a bus, battered and then stabbed before being set on fire in the capital city Bangui, according to the BBC.
In the aftermath of the incident, one of his attackers grabbed hold of his leg and then began to devour it.

Prior to this she have been arrested for theft in 2013, “Her matter was in the headlines in February 2013, when it was been reported that she was arrested for robbery by the authorities in Alade, in Somolu part of Lagos State. She was later taken fully to court by the authorities for prosecution, but she was discharged and acquitted after the court said her prosecutor didn't present an effective case that may leade to her conviction.

Another aoccurred on Sunday where she was caught red-handed and beaten by a furious residents before she was taken away by the police.
