A Petrol tanker fully laden with 33,000 litres of PMS on Tuesday,
January 8, killed 9, burnt four houses and four commercial buses in
Lagos. The incident occurred at cement bus stop, along mile 2 express
road, Apapa, Lagos. The tanker caught fire after it somersaulted. The
Public Information Officer, National Emergency Management Agency,
(NEMA), Mr. Farinloye Ibrahim told our reporter that, the incident
started at about 10:45pm yesterday night and the fire was create at
about 1:04 a.m by the combined team of federal and state fire
services.He said, "We've about nine casualties. The fire later spread
to four houses and four commercial buses all burnt down."
