ABUJA BLAST LATEST: Government Releases Names Of Nyanya Explosion Victims Currently Receiving Medical Treatment
The Nigerian Government has released a list of names and contacts of 126 persons receiving treatment in several hospitals after a powerful explosion occurred in Nyanya, Abuja, on the morning of April 14, Monday. The authorities report that over 75 individuals were killed in the blast at the crowded bus park in Abuja's suburb. The list was created by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). A number of the victims may have been discharged. The FG had earlier given approval for hospital authorities release the remains to the families. The charred body was recovered with charms and amulets, he must have used for protection, still strapped to his body.
Security sources also recovered useful leads with him, including a mobile phone.

Nyanya, Abuja bomb blast: PDP accuses APC of culpability
The Peoples Democratic Party on Monday accused the opposition All Progressives Party of culpability in the bomb blast which killed over 70 people in Nyanya, Abuja, on Monday.
While condemning the act which it described as barbaric, monstrous and extremely wicked, the PDP said the attacks were politically motivated.
National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, said this in a statement, in Abuja.

In a swift reaction to the Monday morning, 14th April, 2014 blast at a motor park in Nyanya, a suburb of about 30 kilometres from the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP MD Abubakar, CFR, NPM, mni, psc has visited the scene of the explosion where he assessed the extent of damage and the impact on the surrounding environment. He urged the citizens and the international community to remain calm and vigilant as the Police and other security agencies are stepping up measures to uncover the authors of the crime and avoid a reoccurrence of this unfortunate incident.
