Medical doctors, students, consultants converged at the Lagos University Teaching hospital, (LUTH), Idi Araba, today to protest the recent sack of 16,000 resident doctors by the Federal Government. The protest was led by the Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Dr. Tope Ojo. The doctors said their strike was never about a rise in their salary, that they certainly were fighting for was for better structures and equipment in hospitals across the country.
