Ogun LP Crisis: Police Raid Daniel's House

My attention has been drawn to Vanguard publication of Tuesday 25 February, 2014 (page 11) titled 'Ogun LP Crisis: Police Raid Daniel's House' and wish to state categorically that the men of the Nigeria Police Force never raided the residence of the former  governor as stated in the report.

The two parties involved in the alleged invasion of the Labour Party secretariat have been invited by the Ogun State Police Command and the onus rests on the Command to carry out its investigations and established the facts therein.

As the Ogun Labour Party has reiterated unequivocally, there is no faction in the Party as being propagated by some suspended members rather, the National leadership of the Party in its wisdom and by the consistutional powers vested on it suspended some members for their bad conducts and put in place acting officers to drive the party pending the recommendation of the Committee set up to investigate their misconducts.

These affected members decided to go to court and the order granted at the court was that the status quo  must be maintained pending the hearing of the substantive suit.

Without prejudice, the applicants in the case are under suspension from the party and have no authority to speak on behalf of the party.

It is expedient to inform the general public through this medium that the actions of these suspended members are  being sponsored by some fifth columnists who are bent on causing disaffection among the growing membership of the Party in the State.

This however will not stop the Ogun LP in its resolve to maintain discpline among its members to be united in the collective resolve to effect a change in governance by 2015.

Signed
