Aliyu intends to Name 400 northern traitors

THE Governor of Niger State and Chairman of the Northern Governors forum , Babangida Aliyu, on Saturday said around 400 northerners betrayed the North after obtaining income from mercenaries. He threatened to publish the list soon.

Aliyu who released that disclosure while making homage to the late Emir of Minna Alhaji Ahmadu Bahago at the 25th anniversary of the Emir of Minna Alhaji Umaru Faruk Bahago said the North was not scared of 2015 elections.

He explained, “We hear rumours of some individuals who say they've the set of four hundred northerners that they are likely to negotiate, and they are positive should they negotiate the 400, everything is likely to be okay. We are looking for that list so that individuals will tell people why these are people that want to betray you. This sense of betrayal on the northerners has festered into a groundswell of mistrust.

“I should suggest all of us to be conversant with the happenings within our place, we ought to be cautious that through the ballot documents we are able to generally establish who becomes our head in Nigeria, by God's acceptance plenty good stuff can happen in 2015. Whoever Lord provides we shall follow. Don't be afraid, let there be 200 individuals, Lord will allow only 1 candidate emerge.''

Aliyu while condemning the results of the Anambra governorship election said. 

 “With what occurred in Anambra State, we do not wish it repeats it self in 2015 general election since that could result in an issue for all of us as a nation. We ought to all put our hands on terrace to ensure the people   realize the right.”

He added, “INEC and the others should realize that election isn't about money. If politics is approximately quantity, then a northern states shouldn't complain, since whatever touches one, touches all us.

“We must therefore,  not be afraid of 2015; Allah will prosper for Nigeria. However, our significant issue must certanly be focused on our electoral laws and the efficiency of the Independent Electoral Commissioner, specially using what occurred in Anambra State.”
