A donkey blamed for the death Of American Politician
Perhaps the Americans should leave the donkeys for the Middle Easterners.
A donkey has been blamed for the death of Hollywood Park, Texas, Mayor William Bohlke, police officials said.
Atascosa County Chief Deputy David Soward said that the body of mayor Bohlke, was found in an Atascosa County ranch Monday 10 hours after a donkey apparently attacked him, the local news media reported.
"They can become very aggressive, very wild, sometimes caused by a female nearby," said Soward. "We'll probably never know what caused it, but it was clear that this particular donkey was involved, based on evidence at the scene and what we saw on this donkey."
Soward said it appeared Bohlke was kicked or trampled upon.
"Bohlke suffered a fatal injury while caring for his prized cow herd near Pleasanton," a family statement on the municipal website of Hollywood Park, said. "Bill, the people’s mayor, loved serving you the people, our community, and we only wish he were here to keep doing it," the statement read.
Bohlke, who was elected in his first public office race in May, also raised cattle and horses on the ranch.
