Two Suspected Boko Haram Members Killed By Own Bomb



Nemesis caught up with two suspected Boko Haram members, Friday, in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, as they were consumed by their own bomb. The two suicide bombers, according to a statement issued by the spokesman of the  Joint Task Force (JTF) in Borno, Operation Restore Order,  Sagir Musa, exploded and died with their bomb before they could wreak havoc on their target.

 "At about 4.30pm on Friday, February 15, 2013, there was an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion by terrorists targeted at JTF patrol vehicles at Gamboru Market General area, just about 1000 meters away from the main market on the road to Gamboru – Gala.  "The explosion/IEDs entail acid and highly flammable substances that propagated blast and thermal effects which set houses and adjoining shops around the vicinity on fire.

 "Two persons suspected to be the bombers lost their lives as a result of the explosion," Musa said in the statement.  Musa said that though a JTF vehicle was damaged and a soldier was injured, no civilian was killed or injured in the attack.
