Chechen parliament speaker's riposte to US Congress' weapons-to-Kiev resolution: weapons to Mexico!

Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov urges US Congress to abandon ideas of imperial grandeur.

Speaker Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov addresses resolution of US Congress that urges Obama to supply weapons to Ukraine. The US House of Representative passed a resolution the text of which calls for US President Barack Obama to supply weapons to Ukraine. The vote: 348 aye, nay 48.

The Speaker of the Chechen Republic Parliament, Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov, commented on the resolution and turned to his American colleagues.

“Dear members of the Congress of the United States of America. We often hear of the uniqueness of the American Constitution. In your basic law, everyone has the right to freedom of expression. The Supreme Court, wrote, in one of its interpretations,  “we cannot repress political speech just on the grounds that it supports one side and not the other; nor can a citizen be repressed because their expression is false or dangerous.”

But your words are at variance with your actions; Bradley Manning, Edward Snowden, Julian Assange and several others have suffered for believing in a false American freedom of speech.

We cannot be happy about the US leadership taking on all sorts of secret activities aimed at destabilizing the internal affairs of states neighboring Russia, and at pushing NATO eastwards. All actions of Europe and the US at the borders of Russia are unacceptable, and the rapid expansion to the east (NATO enlargement), in fact, constitutes plain aggression.

The USSR, which NATO was formed to combat, died in August 1991.So what is NATO’s purpose? Why is it still around?

In history there have been many precedents, where the American supply of weapons in certain trouble spots was no help in conflict resolution, but on the contrary, led to a great increase in casualties and to the proliferation of illegal gatherings of bandits and terrorist groups, and led to the actual expansion of conflict.

Let’s have a look at the post-soviet activities of NATO: Millions of peaceful civilians have been war casualties, victims of the actions of the military of the US and its allies in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, and Iraq; prisoner abuse and torture have become the norm in the prisons of Abu-Greib, Camp Nama, Guantanamo; the use of pilotless aircraft against targets in the territory of  various countries has become an everyday occurrence. Thus, in the period from June 2004 to September 2012 from 2562-3325 civilians were killed by drone air strikes in the territory of Pakistan [estimates vary]. Not to mention the destabilization by the US of Libya, Syria, Egypt, and also Ukraine, where the government is formulated by US vice president Joe Biden, and where the weaponry and the killing of civilians in Donbass and Lugansk is directed by American instructors.

And for those of you who worry over the welfare of the friendly Ukrainian people, I recall that there are many countries in this world who not only lack democracy, but lack even the basic necessities of life, several countries of Africa, for instance. Why is there no concern for their problems? Why is there only concern over democratic freedoms in countries that border Russia: Georgia, Ukraine?

I often ask myself, Why the American interest in Ukraine? Representatives of our country defended it from the Fascist invaders. More than three and one half million of our soldiers died defending Ukrainian lands from the Nazis. But at this very time, some NATO generals often showing up in Kiev today are representatives of countries that once, allied to the armies of the Third Reich, fought with the Ukrainian people.

The Ukrainian state arose out of the Soviet Union. It was together with the Ukrainians that Russians, Jews, Georgians, Chechens, and Armenians rebuilt that post-war Ukrainian Soviet Republic.  Not one American dollar was spent of the development and rebuilding of Ukraine after WWII. Since ancient times, Moscow and Kiev built the state together; to this day, Russians and Ukrainians are fraternal peoples.

From this it follows that the US has no business advising Russia how to conduct itself with neighboring and friendly people. The supply of weapons to Ukraine will be viewed by us as a signal to act accordingly.We will begin delivery of new weapons to Mexico to resume debate on the legal status of territories annexed by the US, namely the American states of California, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and portions of Wyoming.

We reserve the right to hold conferences in Russia, Mexico, and America with agendas about the liberation of these states from the US, and the supply of weapons to the partisans there.

Serious second thoughts are called for, and leaving aside, at last, the imperial idea of your grandness and impetuosity, taking up an even dialog with our country. It's the only way can we reach mutually beneficial coexistence on this planet. 

Honest, diplomatic collaboration is the operative factor in the international doings of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the entire country is with him. The head of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia, Ramzan Kadyrov, acts in reliable support of President Putin, and has, not just in words, but in deeds, shown decisiveness in executing any orders of the supreme commander to defend the interests of Russia and her people, both at home and anywhere on earth. 

Russia is too big a bite for you. Chill.
