FG reopens 1st Consultant Hospital where Ebola Transporter, Patrick Sawyer died

The Federal Government has reopened First Consultant Hospital in Obalende, Lagos where Liberian Patrick Sawyer, the very first case of Ebola in Nigeria, died from complications of the disease.

In a letter provided for the Lagos state Ministry of Health, the Federal Government said after having undergone three rounds of state-certified decontamination processes based on world standard, a healthcare facility is free to carry on its business of administering healthcare to patients.

A healthcare facility was closed over a month ago after Patrick Sawyer died there. Dr Adadevoh and nurse Ejelonu got infected in a healthcare facility and also later died.
