Boko Haram insurgents have suddenly engaged underaged girls for suicide bombing mission which must be denounced. It is rather begging the question of, what really Boko Haram is driving at? The terrorist sect is generally regarded as a Islamic fundamentalist group set out to destroy and exterminate Nigerians’ fragile unity. It is also begging the question whether Boko Haram is agitating for a genuine cause or otherwise.
Some Islamic clerics would want to deny or repudiate the fact that the insurgents are actually fighting a jihadist warfare. Without beating around the bush, Boko Haram has said that it abhors western education, Christianity and that, everybody must become Muslims which is impossible in any way. If Islam is a way of life and Islamic religion preaches peace, we start to reason the rationale behind this satanic ideology of the Boko Haram. Yet, all over the Arab world, the Middle East and North Africa, predominant Muslim societies, peace is obviously and utterly absent. Israel and Hamas are fighting in Gaza.
There are civil strives, conflicts, outright wars, bombings, total destructions of lives and property especially targeting at western institutions. What an irony of life! We all knew what extent of evils the Boko Haram insurgency had unleashed on Nigerians. Nigerians collective resolve to condemn and confront the evil menace of the Boko Haram insurgency must be seen to have been aggregated and convincing without prejudice.
