ABEOKUTA — The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested 1,227 suspects for various crimes across the state in the last six months.
The command also disclosed that of all the suspects arrested, 157 were suspected robbers while others were arrested for cultism, murder, stealing, fraud among others.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi, stated this, yesterday, while giving stewardship of the command between January and June.
Adejobi explained that the command had been able to arrest 26 suspected rapists, 57 cultists and killed 24 robbers within the period.
He also said the command had recovered 90 firearms and 390 ammunition, adding that 87 vehicles were recovered within the period under the review.
