Fighting between Ukrainian army, self-defense forces under way near Lugansk airport

Clashes between Ukrainian government forces and militia are taking place on Wednesday evening near the Lugansk airport controlled by the Ukrainian army.

Eyewitnesses told Interfax they saw Grad rocket launchers being used twice but could not say by which side.
Eyewitnesses also said that a gas pipeline near the airport has been damaged and the airport's engineering premises were burning.
Two fighter aircrafts were seen flying over Lugansk towards the airport. They came under a fire attack but flew away unscathed.
At the same time, users on social networking sites said the attack on the airport has continued throughout Wednesday. They said the attack was carried this afternoon by two tanks and mortar launchers, and Grad launchers were spotted later.
