Asari-Dokubo's Group Warns Northerners To Vacate The South

The Mujahid Dokubo-Asari-led Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Front, NDPSF has warned Northerners living in the South to leave the region.

This is coming on the heels of a 2-week ultimatum given by a group of Northern youthsunder the aegis of Arewa Youth Development Foundation (AYDF), to Southerners currently living in the North, to relocate to their respective states.
According to National Mirror report, the Asari-led group who said the southerners are not slaves to the north, called for a ‘Republic of Niger Delta’.

Responding to what they termed, ‘arrogance of youths of the North’ who, recently in Kano, demanded the breaking up of Nigeria, thousands of Niger Delta youths, yesterday, July 22 took to the streets of Ughelli, in Delta State, in a ‘State of the Nation Road Walk’.
They described the call by the northern youths as misguided and deliberately planned to provoked the south.
The youths carrying placards, warned all northerners resident in the region to vacate, while also criticising former Minister of Education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwezili, the convener of the #Bring- BackourGirls# campaign. They accused her of being used as an ‘agent supremacist’ against President Jonathan’s administration.
The Asari- Dokubo’s NDPSF spokesman, Comrade Rex Ekiugbo Anighoro, warned that should anything happen to any Niger Deltan in the north, the Niger Delta youths will not hesitate to retaliate.
"The arrogance of the north is getting petrifying and the south is not afraid of such antics," he said.
It would be recalled that on Monday, July 21, a group known as Concerned Arewa Citizen had submitted a bill to the Kaduna House of Assembly seeking a law for the registration of southerners in Kaduna and other parts of Northern Nigeria.
Alhaji Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, an ex-Niger Delta miltant was born in 1964. He is a major political figure of the Ijaw ethnic group in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. He founded the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force.
