American Missionary With Ebola Fighting To Stay Alive

An American missionary who has contracted the Ebola virus in Africa is fighting for her life, her son says.

Missionary Nancy Writebol, 60, remains in quarantine after contracting Ebola in Liberia, where she and her husband David have been working with aid group Serving in Mission. She is one of two Americans battling the deadly virus.
“She’s stable,” Mrs Writebol’s son Jeremy told the US Today show.
“As dad put it, she’s fighting through it, and continuing to express a few symptoms, but she’s able to move around on her own, and they’re getting lots of fluids into her. She’s working real hard to get through this.”
Meanwhile, volunteers are not being discouraged from working in Africa despite the deadly Ebola virus with many believing they should go where God needs them.  Husband David has not been diagnosed with Ebola, and has only been allowed to see his wife through a window since she was placed in isolation, said Jeremy.
American Dr Kent Brantly, 33, is being treated at a hospital in the Liberian capital, Monrovia, after also contracting Ebola.
