Our dear president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was airborne the following day en-route Kano for hustings! Not minding the loss of properties and families, the pains, being experienced and the psychological trauma the victims were undergoing, my dear president Goodluck Ebele Johnathan was live on television stations; chattering, dancing, smiling and hauling abuses on the All Progressive Congress [APC] and the Kano State government and the governor for fraud and nonperformance in Kano.
Also the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP], National Publicity Secretary, Olisah Metuh was quoted as saying that 'the All Progressive Congress [APC] was behind that deadly bomb blast that took place in Nyanya, a suburb of Abuja", to some it was a statement taken too far! And when it was discovered that the statement was false, there was no rebuttal, nor retractions or apology from the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP].
Irrespective of the causalities, tragedies, traumas, and destruction unleashed by the Boko Haram on hapless Nigerians, nothing stops the politicians from Cris-crossing Nigeria landscape canvassing for votes in 2015 and names calling; Major-General Mohammad Buhari, a Boko Haram sponsor and also Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was branded and label a Boko Haram financier.
The Boko Haram entered Maiduguri International Airport unhindered and destroyed 2MIG F28 Nigerian Air force jet fighters and incapacitated 2, they attack Nigerian Army Barracks: Army Battalion in Bama and Baga Road, Maiduguri and also Headquarter, 21 Armored Brigade, Giwa
Barracks, Maiduguri with sophisticated weaponry and they also attempted jail break at the headquarter of the Department of State Security Service 'Yellow House' a few meters from Nigeria seat of government 'Aso Rock Presidential Villa', these are some of the strategic Nigeria defense and security forts, that were nearly overran by these dreaded Boko Haram.
When Borno State Governor, Ibrahim Shettima told reporters on his visits to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan at the Aso Rock Presidential Vila that 'The Boko Haram were equipped with more superior and sophisticated weaponry to the Nigerian Army', Governor Ibrahim Shettima was branded 'quisling', 'unpatriotic' and shouted down for telling Nigerians the simple 'TRUTH', and the aftermath of his revelations is now a stark reality!
Borno State and the entire North Eastern region of Nigeria and by extension Abuja suburbs has been turned to darkness at noon by the Boko Haram, and yet the bawl about 2015 has clouded Nigeria politicians from seeing the cumulus of Boko Haram menace on Nigeria's continue existence. Children has being turned to beggar from tender age, [due to loss of parents], and they would surely become a violent adult and take out their anger and frustration on the society when they grow. And who cares to rescue these hapless Nigerians from the shackles of forced solitary confinement?
"Terry Fox started out with all the odds against him. Terry always wanted to play college basketball, Cancer shattered his dream. At age 18 he had to have his leg amputated. But as he lay in a British Columbia hospital in Canada, a new idea stirred in his mind. He wrote to the Canadian Cancer Society, "Somewhere the hurting must stop". He proposed to dramatize the plight of the disabled and to raise money for research by running on an artificial leg across the entire 5,300 mile span of Canada, it was bleak depressing and disheartening...............'
Hop, Hop, Skip'....Terry Fox did it! "Somewhere the hurting must stop".
How and when will the hurting and killings in the North East of Nigeria and Abuja suburbs stopped? Nigerian Polytechnics and College of Education has lost a whole calendar of academic session and when the lecturers protested [a peaceful one], they were hounded, teargas and humiliated! The tragic Nigerian Immigration Service [NIS] recruitment embarrassing exercise that led to loss of innocent Nigerian youths has been unceremoniously buried beneath the Lower Usman Dam never to be exhumed again.
Yet, it has been, noise, noise, and noise about 2015. While the parents of the abducted girls are weeping, politicians are busy with strategics and permuting for 2015 and to an extent shows the desperate and what Nigerians should expect from these self serving politicians who doesn't give a hoot about Nigerians welfare, but are concerned about themselves.
Maybe am being parallactic? Nigeria security situation is higgledy-piggledy no doubt about it and Nigerian politicians noted for being highfalutin careless and insouciant except the bawl about 2015 agenda! Winston Churchill in this his famous World War II speech declares, "I have nothing, except, blood, tears, and sweat." Nigeria politicians has nothing except 'Bawl about 2015'. "On a daily basis, news reports bombard us with grim reminders that Nigeria society is sinking with quagmire of perplexing corruptions"
