Russian and French leaders to discuss Ukraine crisis, Iran, Syria - Kremlin



Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to meet with his French counterpart Francois Hollande in Paris on Thursday to discuss the Ukrainian crisis, the situation in Syria and Russia's relations with the European Union and NATO.

"The international agenda for the Putin-Hollande meeting includes detailed discussions on the crisis in Ukraine, including [the need for] the Kyiv authorities to stop the "punitive" operation in the southeast of the country, and the May 25 elections of Ukraine's head of state. In this context, the sides will also address issues concerning Russia's relations with the EU and NATO," the Kremlin press service said, according to Interfax reports.
Among other topics, the Russian and French leaders will discuss "the evolving situation in Syria after the June 3 presidential elections in this country, the situation in Libya and international efforts surrounding the Iranian nuclear program," it said.
