Reactions have continued to trail this morning’s dastardly attack in Nigeria’s capital by terrorists suspected to be of the Boko Haram sect.
President Goodluck Jonathan has already visited the scene of the attack in Nyanya, as well as one of the hospitals were some of the injured were rushed to in Asokoro. He directed that security should be beefed around the FCT and also cancelled his scheduled visit to Ibadan today.
However a leader of the opposition, Bola Tinubu, in his reaction to the attack was unsparing of the president and the way he has handled the nation’s security challenges so far. In a series of tweets via his Twitter handle (@asiwajutinubu), the former Lagos governor said that Nigerians are tired of the excuses and explanations, but yearn for protection for their lives and properties.
Right from his first tweet before noon, Tinubu attacked the administration saying the blast and the mindless deaths “is an indictment of the Jonathan administration.” He said that Nigerians are “united in grief over the Nyanya attacks But as a people, we must rise up to demand this govt provides better security.”
