A man was arrested, charged and convicted of child abuse after putting a little baby in a freezer because she cried too much, prosecutors in Washington said. Now, the man has been sentenced to 16 years in prison. Deutsch was arrested after the baby’s mother returned home from an errand and found Deutsch taking the girl out of the freezer, according to court documents. The girl also suffered from a broken ankle and a broken shoulder. Her body temperature was about 85 degrees, according to hospital records. Deutsch told detectives a series of stories about how the girl got into the freezer compartment of the refrigerator until he finally admitted that he put her there because he was tired and she was crying.
