US wants to rule Ukraine and continue their NATO encroachment against Russia- expert

Missile destroyer USS Ramage and command ship USS Mount Whitney took position off the Ukrainian coast outside Russian waters to "assist in case of terror attacks", but as Christoph Hörstel, Government Consultant and Publicist, said in an exclusive interview with the Voice of Russia, American main concern is to continue their NATO encroachment against Russia

We have US war ships that are off the coast of the Ukraine. Supposedly the idea that they are there to help assist Russia if there is a terrorist attack in the resort city of Sochi of course, but could the mission really have two? Could these ships really be on two different missions? Number one- in case there is a terrorist attack and number two- maybe sometime during the Olympics there could be sanctions placed against Ukraine? And with that in mind my question is are sanctions against Ukraine likely to be adopted during this EU Council session?

What would the sanctions need to be if you need ships off the Ukrainian coast? Analyzing just roughly, very superficially what these ships could be good for? Two things appear clear. First of all these things are little good in case any terror attack on Sochi. Second, these things are very good if you want to spy on Russia and the Ukraine. And for that reason I came to the opinion yesterday publicized that I said this was a spy mission. And we have to keep in mind how these spy missions function – that means you may have a terror attack but then these spy ships who can do very little in fact to help injured people for example, they would monitor how Russian security sector is dealing with the attack and the whole interior security network as much as the US ships could understand it, that means decipher it, it would be open to the US. That is part of the problem. Another problem is that we do have bomb attacks announced for the Ukraine. And in case that happens the same would happen to the Ukraine and their security apparatus. So these ships off the Ukrainian and Russian coast are let's say not helpful.

So, in a sense basically what you describe is that they are to electronically monitor communications and kind of vacuum in all the signals that are out there to understand who is doing what and where and if other nations would be or could have been involved in a situation.
Anybody interested in this situation should Google a picture from Wikipedia of these ships and you will see the command ship has all kinds of very interesting big size antennas spread over its deck. So this is a spy ship, this is nothing else.

So you suggest that the listeners Google the ship names. Just to put it out there we have - Missile destroyer USS Ramage and command ship USS Mount Whitney. So the second question for you, Christoph, how do you assess the role of the US in the political crisis in the Ukraine?
After that we had the great happiness to join Victoria Nuland who is the State Department official for Europe, join in her telephone call with the ambassador to Ukraine, we know that the US are calling the shots in the Ukrainian show, so to say, and that they are very tightly lead the opposition leaders, that they spent a lot of money, $5 billion is a lot of money for such a little country and influencing things there and that they are using or want to use the UN as an errant boy to help their policies over there. This is no news to me for example, this is no news to hundreds of thousands of people globally who watch things and who are in the know. But of course to ordinary people this means something so we are very happy about this listening in stunt we had.
If the US as you said is actually calling the shots in regards to choosing the opposition and who is actually in or out which bare may not have been alluded to infamous Victoria Nuland's tape, that was released on the Youtube, is that really an organic revolution then? Is this more of overthrow of a government or we could say maybe regime change?
This is a very clear-cut approach of regime change. We had that in the past with the Orange Revolution. This is much more violent. And what we see and footedly the Russian ambassador to the US has insisted on this – we have now the EU being so weak in the Ukraine that they need a support of radicals, of Nazis, of people who have racist sentiments and things like that, of violent thugs to do things in Ukraine. And this is not, you know, deviating from the fact that there is corruption and there is oppression in the Ukraine of course that has to be dealt with but hopefully not the way the EU and the US are doing it right now.

Isn't it something hypocritical for the EU to need help from Nazis or from those in the far right group to implement this regime change?
I do think, yes. They are obviously using and accepting this help by not disassociating themselves from it and by not telling the puppets within the justified opposition, to put it that way, to disassociate themselves from this kind of political side.

The last question that I have is – do you think that Kiev will receive economic aid from the EU?
I think Kiev will receive something but I think that comes at a high price. This is very clear and Russia unofficially has even told the West “Let's share the cake”. Russia was quite open to deal with the West on this. They said: ‘Let’s sit together on unofficial ways'. My feeling is the US which is leading the show as I said do not want to sit with Russia, they do not want to talk with Russia, they do not want to talk with the Ukrainian people either. They want to rule Ukraine and after that they will continue their NATO encroachment against Russia. This is the plan. So talking to Russia about it will not be the case, giving maybe a little money from the EU side is part of the offer but as I said it comes at a high price. These people do not have the Ukrainian people in their mind, they are playing power politics and that is directed against Russia.
