While the assailant managed to run away, his motorbike was taken to the police station by Makutano residents. Witnesses say that the two started arguing at the closing moments of the match. It has been gathered that Mwangi got bitter after Mutethia started mocking him and on their way out, the argument got nasty prompting him to stab the former.
"He was also drinking beer as the game proceeded and because Mutethia was also a bit drunk they could not have come to terms over their argument. This is just a game for entertainment and he should not have got so tempered," said a reveller, who had accompanied Mutethia.Police has started thorough investigation to establish the motive of the alleged murder.
