The long arm of the law has caught up with a 23- -year- old man, Musa Ibrahim Kamuku, following his arrest and detention in a Police cell by the authorities of the Niger State Police Command, over allegation of being in possession of a human head. Luck ran against the suspect, who hailed from Tegina, in Rafi Local Government Area of the state, when he mistakenly called a wrong telephone number belonging to one comrade Abdullahi Akayaga, former Chairman, Nigerian Union of Teachers in the local government areas.
This was contained in a news bulletin issued by the Niger State government, a copy of which was obtained by the Saturday Tribune on Friday, in Minna, the state capital.
It added that Kamukuhad called to inform the former labour leader and urged him to get his money ready as he had gotten the type of human head he wanted. The news bulletin stated further that Akayaga was said not to have betrayed emotions as he pretended to have had prior knowledge of the transaction, as he promptly responded that he was ready to give the suspect the N3 million he was requesting for.
Comrade Akayaga then, alerted the police about his telephone conversation between him and the suspect, after which the suspect later asked the former NUT chairman to come with the N3 million and collect the human head. The news bulletin stated further that Akayaga quickly called the police, who had already been alerted and told Kamuku to meet him at the farmto collect the money.
