''$49.8 billion is missing and Nigerians sit back and do NOTHING.

Am I surprised? NO! Not at all. This isn't the first time billions of dollars have been stolen from our national coffers by our so called leaders. It has been happening since the so called independence - when the face of colonialism changed - Fela Kuti and many others have mentioned about this and brought it up for us all to know, learn from and act accordingly, but time and again what have we done?
NOTHING!

We have simply turned a blind ye to our own lives, suffering, oppression and future.
Do you know what $49.8 billion can do in Nigeria?
Do you know it can fix our electricity and water problems?
Do you know it can provide good health care and education for us all?
Do you know it can be used to set up factories and industries, boost the economy and produce millions of jobs?
Do you know it can be used to solve our fuel shortage problems?
Do you know it can be used in research; medical, scientific, technological and otherwise?
Do you know it can be used to fix most of our social problems?
But it has been looted, stolen by those we have called leaders and we that suffer from these ills daily sit back once again and do nothing.
Why then do we clamour for change? What exactly is the change we actually want to achieve?
Nigerians.. hmmmmm Teekay Akin
