Fourteen students of the Bell University of Technology, Ota in Ogun State on Saturday bagged First Class degrees at the institution's 2012/13 convocation..The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adebayo Adeyemi, made this known at the 5th convocation and the conferment of honorary doctorate degrees and presentation of prizes in Ota.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that 208 graduating students participated in the ceremony.
In addition to the 14 students that bagged First Class honours, 64 students made Second Class Upper Division; 83 made Second Class Lower Division; 43 in Third Class while four bagged ordinary pass.
Adeyemi urged the graduating students to have confidence in their abilities that they could make it in life regardless of the prevailing situation in the country.
He emphasised the requirement to allow them to be patriotic in their bid to move the nation forward.
“I also desire to inform you all that the postgraduate degree programmes and postgraduate diploma programmes have been approved by National Universities Commission.
“The approval of these courses will give room for the institution to hold out numerous researches which will lead to development of both human capital and the nation,” he said.
