"Ogogoro consumers From Abuja Cannot Dictate to us", says Nyako

Speaking when he received an emissary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Umaru Duhu, who is the national vice chairman of the party for the Northeast, Nyako carpeted leaders of his party saying “the era when some few Ogogoro consumers from Abuja would chart the destiny of their state has ended, because people have vowed to take their destinies within their hands.
Continue after the break.
Nyako left little doubt regarding his political future when he told Duhu who appealed to him to become listed on the APC that  I don't have your card and have not requested for starters, but I admire your APC governors for the feats they've achieved. In the North-east, the governors of Yobe and Borno states are shining samples of good governance, because regardless of the security challenges, these governors have the ability to touch their people's lives. Similarly the South-west governors are succeeding and have transformed their states significantly. We shall align with democratic forces wherever they are and we will continue to give any democrat a hearing ear, regardless of his political party.

Governor Murtala Nyako is really a member of the rebel new Peoples Democratic Party, who have now lost out in the scheme of things as both Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and a Lagos High Court have refused to grant them recognition with the INEC saying the Bamanga Turkur led Peopled Democratic Party is the authentic PDP. This has heightened the desperation within the nPDP to locate alternative platforms to be able to remain relevant in the scheme of things.
