U.S. Attorney John Kacavas demanded the no-contact order in court, saying that the 43-year-old Lisa Biron of Manchester, New Hampshire, has put "great pressure on the minor victim on what to say and not say during phone conversations from jail.”
Kacavas said the child has revealed to the FBI "the nature and extent of abuse," but did not elaborate.
Biron’s attorney, James Moir, told U.S. Judge McCafferty Landya that Biron was not previously under a federal court order to have no contact with the girl.
McCafferty imposed the no-contact order at the end of the brief hearing. Biron acknowledged the order with a nod.
Moir pleaded not guilty on Thursday on behalf of Biron of six counts of s-èxual exploitation of a child, one count of possession of child pô-rnography and one count of transporting a minor to Canada to engage in s-èxual activity for production of pôr-nography child.
Prosecutors said that on several dates, Biron lured or forced the child to perform explicit sè-xual acts for the purpose of producing child pôr-nography. They also say that she took the child to Ontario to produce additional child pôr-nography.
