U.S. NSA & British GCHQ: George Galloway warns viewers against UK-US spy operations

British MP and founder of the Respect party George Galloway has warned public viewers against the illegal UK-US spy operations.

On Press TV’s weekly political program Comment, Galloway informed viewers that many of them are unaware of their emails, phones and text messages being bugged, adding that even those who don’t express any political views could be snooped by the government agencies.

“The National Security Agency (NSA) in the US and the British security service based at the GCHQ in Cheltenham have a record of everything, and I mean everything that you have ever looked at, ever searched for, ever read on the internet”, Galloway said.

He then compared the UK and United states’ illegal spy operations to having a state television camera in every room of people’s homes, cars and offices.

“Why don’t we let the state watch absolutely everything we do?,” he asked sarcastically.

Galloway said there is no democratic explanation for the government’s spy operation as there was no debate or vote in the parliament to allow the constant monitoring of British citizens.
