Supermarket workers were surprised to find a huge selection of pounds of cocaine inside a banana shipment, according to police reports in Denmark.
Police in Denmark stated that workers at a supermarket chain discovered over 440 pounds of cocaine inside a banana shipment from Colombia, last week.
Police Inspector Bent Isager-Nielsen stated that workers at the Brondby warehouse for supermarket chain Coop, found about 275 pounds of cocaine in a pallet of bananas and another 176 pounds of the drug were found in a shipment of bananas in a warehouse in Hasselager.
Isager-Nielsen stated that warehouse workers immediately contacted police.
“Coop responded as it should,” Isager-Nielsen said. “We've no suspicion of wrongdoing by the Coop supermarket chain,” he said.

Police said the cocaine had a total estimated value of over $14 million.
