Sure, this may sound like common sense, but again, the younger generation probably needs to be told this. Having s-éxual contact with only one individual is going to limit your chances of getting an STD. Be clear about the expectations of the relationship and make sure they are not sleeping with others. If it is an open relationship, then your chances of getting an STD will increase, even if you were not the one to have s-éx with the person who was infected (your partner did).

Before you engage in s-éxual activity, it is perfectly normal to look! In fact, do it! Don’t be afraid to do it. Look for suspicious rashes, sores or discharge. Discuss it with the partner. Remember, an STD may not show signs at all times.
5. THE BEST WAY TO PROTECT YOU AND YOUR PARTNER FROM GETTING AN STD WILL INVOLVE A LATEX CONDOM
The condom is going to give an effective barrier against STD. Make sure it is properly removed when you are all done with your business.
