Man Nabbed after dumping perfume on ex-girlfriend and setting her on fire while daughter watched

The Pennsylvania man accused of dousing his ex-girlfriend with perfume and then setting her on fire was nabbed Saturday after hiding out for two days, police said.
Clinton Cohen, 27, was apprehended in Pittsburgh after he allegedly attacked Maria Redman, 22, last Thursday in her apartment in Springdale, about 18 miles northeast of the city.
The gruesome act appeared even more heinous when cops described how Cohen allegedly choked and beat Redman before setting her on fire — all while their 3-month-old daughter watched in the same room, reported ABC affiliate WTAE-TV.

"Cohen opened a bottle of perfume, poured the perfume over the victim and then lit it with a cigarette lighter," Allegheny County police Lt. Jeff Korczyk said.
“In fact, the child had some blood on her from her mother," he added.
Before Cohen ran out, police said, he threw a blanket onto Redman as she writhed in pain.
Despite her injuries, the young mother managed to identify a suspect.
The couple were reportedly engaged in a domestic dispute over where Cohen, who has a history of assault and robbery, should live.
He faces a slate of charges, including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, arson and child endangerment, the Valley News Dispatch reported.
It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney and when he would appear in court.
Redman, meanwhile, is in critical condition with burns concentrated on her head and upper torso.
“She has a long battle ahead of her,” Korczyk said.
Her friend, Caitlin Harrison, told WTAE-TV that she’s in disbelief that Redman could have been so brutally attacked.
“She’s a good person, and it’s a shame that this happened,” Harrison said.
