Website Helps Students Find ‘Sugar Daddies’ to Pay for University

Students (preferably women) who are having an awfully hard time paying for college have to look no further. SeekingArrangement.com is a website dedicated to creating what it calls ‘beneficial’ relationships in which both partners get what they need. The deal is, if one member offers companionship the other member will offer to pay for their education. The website doesn’t hide its intentions at all. They claim to be the “Elite Sugar Daddy Dating Site for those Seeking Mutually Beneficial Arrangements.”

The site is getting popular especially in Chicago, where the numbers doubled in a matter of a year at the University of Illinois- Chicago. The number of participants jumped from 47 to 99. One student would go on to say she had three ”sugar daddies” and had received anywhere between $500 to $5000 a month. Some critics have questioned the site, claiming it’s nearing a level that makes it basically prostitution. In a statement released by the founder Brandon Wade, he claims that ”We’ve drawn a very clear line by saying that if you’re paying simply for sex, that is not clearly permitted.” If someone registers for the site willingly to meet someone, whatever they decide to do physically is beyond the confines of the website and in their own hands.
