7-month-old baby, a traditional healer, and four others died in a mysterious lightning blast on Monday.
The bodies of the dead were burnt while their limbs were strewn all over the place covering a distance of up to 60 metres. The bodies were removed on Tuesday with the dormitory town awash with speculation on the cause of the mystery blast. The traditional healer and his clients' remains were taken to the General Hospital for post mortem.
A seven-month-old baby, Kelly Chimina, was also killed in the blast. Two people were injured while four houses were destroyed in the blast. More than 12 houses suffered damages from the mysterious explosion.
Meanwhile, Retired Brigadier Felix Muchemwa said the blast was caused by an incendiary or inflammable bomb detonation while Zinatha says the explosion was probably triggered by an exorcism that went wrong.
"There is no mysticism involved. All the signs point to an incendiary bomb and talk that there was no fire is hogwash. How could people be burnt without fire? It is a simple bomb of an incendiary nature," said Rtd Brig Muchemwa.
