Lagos Tells Banned Okada Riders to Go Work on Farms

Registered commercial motorcycle riders in Lagos State thrown out of work due to the implementation of the new traffic law have been offered options of employment by the government on state-owned farms in Abuja, Lagos, Ogun and Benue. The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Kayode Opeifa, Wednesday, at the 11th Business Forum of the Lagos State University’s MBA Heritage said the government also have plans to absorb some of the registered okada riders as drivers and conductors in the LAGBUS scheme, while the rest will be sent to the skills acquisition centres to make them employable or self employed.
