A statement by Obi’s media aide, Valentine Obienyem, said the governor Peter Obi carried out the demolition exercise as part of the war against kidnapping and other crimes in the state.
He had recently led the demolition of some houses belonging to another suspected kidnap gang leader, Olisa Ifedike aka Ofeakwu.
The demolition followed the arrest of Ezekude and the recovery of arms and ammunition buried in the ground in plastic containers in the premises.
The statement said that among items recovered were one rocket grenade; three grenade propellers; two A.K. 47 rifles; an 0.6 rifle; 27 A.K 47 magazines; 170 rounds of live ammunition; and nine chains used in restraining kidnap victims.
Obi was quoted as saying that the exercise was in line with the state government’s policy that any property linked to a suspected kidnapper would be acquired by the state government and demolished.
He warned that his administration would not allow anybody to benefit from proceeds of kidnap and other forms of crime.
The governor gave the assurance that his government was already winning the battle as the wave of kidnap across the State had drastically reduced.
He thanked the police and other security agents for their sustained efforts to rid the state of criminals and hoodlums.

Operations, Anambra State Command, Mr. Ayole Abeh, said Ezekwu was a suspected member of a kidnap gang led by Ifedike, who was arrested last month and whose houses were swiftly demolished by the state government.
Abeh explained that the suspect was arrested through the statements by Ifedike.
Some leaders of the community, Mr. Ambrose Ezekulie, Nnamdi Mbenobi and Juliana Elendu, were quoted as saying that Ezekude had paraded himself as a sand and stone supplier.
They commended Obi for his determination to eradicate crime in the dtate and assured him of total support.
The two demolished buildings consisted of nine rooms and parlour and four rooms and parlour respectively.
