Got a New Boyfriend? Check Out ways to Train Him.

Comparing men to animals is nothing derogatory. Even men know (and some of them proudly admit) that there are many animal-like traits in their personality.
At some stage of the relationship you share with your boyfriend, you will realize that he is giving you hard time through his actions and habits.
It is better to learn in advance some good techniques that can actually train him to be a well-behaved boyfriend.
Here are 8 interesting boyfriend training ideas you would love to try.
  • Silent Treatment
How would you react to a pet if it behaves badly? Giving silent treatment to pets makes them anxious and concerned. The same rule applies with men as well. Treat them with your silence if he was caught engaged in some undesirable activity. Such a behavior will not only make him realize his mistake, it will also teach you how to be strong and firm while dealing with his wrong doings.

Apple's 'Next Big Thing' Will Be An Innovation, Not An Invention

Lots of people are wondering what Apple will invent next. If it’s true to its own history, it won’t invent a new type of product but will improve on one someone else already brought to market.
I’ve never questioned that Apple is an innovator. Its iPod, iPhone and iPad were all very innovative products. But all of them were improvements of other companies’ products or concepts in the same categories.
The iPod, introduced in October 2001, was not the first digital music player. Diamond Multimedia announced the Rio PMP 300 in 1998, and the Creative Nomad Jukebox and Archos Jukebox came out in 2000. None of these products would have been possible were it not for innovations in storage, compression and battery life from scores of scientists and inventors.

Rev Chris Okotie seeks secret trial for ex-pianist, asks judge to chase journalists

The Head of the Household of God Church and former presidential candidate, Chris Okotie, was so uncomfortable with journalists reporting his involvement in a suit that he asked the judge to chase journalists away from the court room.
The reverend stated this to a Lagos Magistrate Court Judge on Wednesday during a trial between him and a former member of his church.
Mr. Okotie is accusing Dafiaghor Okiotor, 40, a former keyboardist in the church, of blackmail and intimidation and trying to extort N39 million from him.
Mr. Okiotor, however, stated that the flamboyant head of the church owed him after he played the keyboard and produced music for the church for 14 years.

Church Leaders angry after Escort Posts Naké-d Photos of herself on altar

A vicar has said the “body is a beautiful thing but there is a time and place for it” after an escort posted photos of herself naké-d in church, but called the stunt "shameless" and "sacrilegious".
The escort, known only as Gemma, posted the photos of her inside St Bartholomew's Church in the village of Goodnestone, Kent, on a website. One image shows the 22-year-old kneeling down naké-d on the church altar as she rests her hands on a crucifix - with the stained glass window of the church in the background.

The UK said it had already contacted the Federal Government requesting Mr. Alamieyeseigha’s extradition, and was awaiting a response to the request. The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Andrew Pocock, told the paper in an exclusive interview that the former governor, who recently got state pardon from his criminal conviction in Nigeria, still has an outstanding case of money laundering to answer to in the UK and that the UK government will not give up until Mr. Alamieyeseigha is brought to justice.

It was a moment of joy recently for the mother of a prison inmate that had been awaiting trial since 2005. Mrs. Maria Emmanuel danced and shouted with joy on the court premises of the Lagos High Court, sitting in Igbosere when Justice Deborah Oluwayemi released her son, Paul Samuel.
Five other awaiting trial inmates were also released by the court. They included Fatai Amidu, Adebayo Owuade, Gabriel Samuel, Mike Ofoje and Lawal Karimu.

Please, pardon President Jonathan

Nigerians are justifiably outraged at the pardon of Diepreye Solomon Peter Alamieyeseigha, ex-governor of Bayelsa State. Alamieyeseigha was governor from May 1999 until December 2005, three months after he was detained in London on charges of money laundering. President Goodluck Jonathan had served under  Alamieyeseigha as deputy governor.
Instructively, in August 2005, a month before his arrest, Alamieyeseigha delivered a message, through his deputy, Goodluck Jonathan, at a seminar in Abuja on “Winning the War against Corruption”. The self-styled Governor-General of the Ijaw nation “commended government’s stride with the establishment of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Code of Conduct Bureau, and urged the bodies not to ignore the private sector”.

The Average Banknote Contains 26,000 Bacteria; Studies Have Shown

If you thought dirty money was only found in offshore bank accounts, check your wallet instead. But you may want to wash your hands afterward.
Almost 60% of Europeans believe cash is the dirtiest item they come into contact with, ahead of escalator handrails, b*ttons on payment terminals and library books, according to a survey of 1,000 people released on March 25 by Mastercard.
A further 83% of the respondents, taken from 15 countries across Europe, believe cash carries a lot of bacteria. And they are right.
Independent tests on European money conducted by a team of scientists at Oxford University in December 2012, revealed that the average banknote contains 26,000 bacteria, enough germs to make you feel nauseous, and possibly even spread disease.

''Nigeria On The Brink Of Another Civil War'' - Soyinka

Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, yesterday, warned that Nigeria was on the brink of another civil war and called for concerted actions to prevent the disaster.
Soyinka, who spoke at the 5th Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Colloquium in Lagos, also chided President Goodluck Jonathan for failing to address the deteriorating level of insecurity in the country.
Themed: A national movement for change. A new generation speaks,” the colloquium was held at the MUSON Centre, Lagos.
He said: “Let us face it; this nation is on the brinks. Those who do understand it, I feel very sorry for them because they will one day wake up and find out that we have fallen as a nation. This is not what we envisaged when we struggled for independence. This is not what we envisaged when we struggled to overthrow military dictatorship and restore the rights and dignity of human beings. But whether we like it or not, it has come upon us.”

Murder Of Pipeline Defence Guards: Covering Their Tracks, Police in Lagos Beat ‘Confession’ Out of NSCDC Officer

The Police in Lagos have forced Olanrenju Gbedeogun, an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), to make a statement that contradicts yesterday’s events where the police attacked officers of the corps, killed two of its officers, and freed some oil pipeline vandals.

Sources at the Owutu Police Station in Ikorodu, Lagos State, informed SaharaReporters that the police authorities embarked on the measure to back-up their claim to the presidency that it was officers of NSCDC which attacked the police, and that the police knew nothing about the death of the two NSCDC men.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police is said to have personally supervised the forced video confession of Gbedeogun.
Earlier in the day, we learned that Gbedeogun was being tortured by the police to force him to provide the contradiction of the corps’ account of yesterday’s events.
A police officer at the Owutu Police Station who felt bad about the latest developments told us on condition of anonymity that if care was not taken urgently Gbedeogun would be dead before daybreak.  By that time, the torture victim had already spent over 24hrs in detention, contrary to the law.

Chasing the Ghosts of a Corrupt Regime Gilbert Chagoury, Clinton donor and diplomat with a checkered past.

In July 2004, police lay in wait at an airfield in the far northeastern corner of Nigeria. Gilbert Chagoury, a Lebanese businessman and one-time adviser to the late dictator Sani Abacha, was set to touch down in his private jet. Nuhu Ribadu, then the country's top anti-corruption prosecutor, says that Chagoury was a kingpin in the corruption that defined Abacha's regime.
"You couldn't investigate corruption without looking at Chagoury," Ribadu tells me in a recent interview in California.
Six years after Abacha's death, Ribadu's officers stood ready to take Chagoury down. Ribadu says that Chagoury made it possible for Abacha to steal billions of dollars and lined his own pockets in the process. The prosecutor says he indicted Chagoury and ordered his arrest for relatively minor violations related to Chagoury's businesses so that he could later bring additional charges for his activities in the Abacha era.

But, no sooner had Chagoury's plane hit the ground, than it took off again. Ribadu says it's likely that an airport official tipped him off, and Ribadu's big catch slipped away, literally into thin air.
Chagoury was among the last of the all-powerful middlemen who served the heads of oil-rich African states, says Philippe Vasset, longtime editor of Africa Energy Intelligence, one of a series of influential energy industry newsletters. "He [Chagoury] was the gatekeeper to Abacha's presidency," Vasset says.
In many African countries, a Western entrepreneur might hand over money to a fixer or middleman, who would then pass it on to a political leader in exchange for support for a business venture. In Nigeria, Vasset explains, Chagoury was just such a figure in the mid-1990s, when Abacha ruled the country and held the key to much of the country's oil wealth.

Northern Elders To Jonathan: Get Ready For A Unified North In 2015

The Northern Elders’ Forum (NEF) has sounded a warning to President Goodluck Jonathan, telling him that he would have to contend with a unified north should he insist on seeking another term in 2015.
NEF spokesman, Prof  Ango Abdullahi, gave this warning yesterday in Kaduna during an exclusive interview with our correspondent.
Commenting on why the north is putting its act together in order to present a formidable team, Abdullahi said, “We are trying now to unify our people (northerners) that have been divided along ethnic and religious lines in the last two years.
And very soon you will hear the north talking from one platform.

Kano: JTF Discovers Three ‘Bomb Factories,’ Arrests Nine

Security operatives in Kano say they have discovered three suspected bomb factories in Sharada, Gaida Ajawa on the Eastern Bye-pass and Mariri, and impounded a large consignment of arms and ammunition.  Three members of the Islamic Extremist group were arrested.
The spokesman of the Joint Task Force (JTF), Captain Ikedichi Iweha, said in a press statement in Kano today that the three buildings, which were found in three separate raids, were demolished, adding that they served as bomb factories for the terrorist group.

Among those arrested, he disclosed, was the sect’s bomb making specialist, who was nabbed at the Farm Centre.
The dangerous weapons intercepted during the raid, according to Captain Iweha, included six AK 47 rifles, General Purpose machine guns, SMG magazine, PPK pistol, two smoke guns and 189 rounds of AK 47 ammunition.
Other items were: 43 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunitions, eight rounds of 9mm for PKK pistols, 15 hand held IEDs, containers of liquid chemical substance and 11 bags of nitrate fertilizers.
