Bisi Akanda talks about Buhari, Jonathan, Amaechi and 2015

You were quoted as saying that the All Progressives Congress is not so keen on the presidency come 2015. What then is your focus?
I will rather say I was misquoted. How would there be a major party in 2013 and such party will not be keen about 2015? We are very much keen about 2015. The only thing I said, maybe, beclouded the one I did not say. What I said was that our preoccupation as an interim leadership of the APC was to mobilise and register members, to conduct congresses and convention to establish a good structure, a durable structure for the new party and that the priority now is the Anambra election and possibly, the Delta State senatorial election which will come up anytime from now.

Shocking: Confession Of A DPO About What Goes On In Nigerian Police Stations

For whoever wants to know why inefficiency is the lot of the Nigeria Police, the starting point may be to closely watch the state of things at police stations across the country.

Apart from the poor physical state of many of them, they are largely run on charity.Investigations shows that some of the police stations in Nigeria get as low as N35,000 as allocation from the force headquarters per quarter.

This is the reason why in all the states of the federation, many police stations rely on philanthropic gestures from members of their host communities and proceeds of bribery to function effectively. And that is why inscriptions such as ‘Donated by Welders Association’, ‘Community Development Association’ are constant features on many items and facilities found in many police stations in the country.

Oshiomhole to Jang: Stop “Jang-ing” About NGF Chairmanship

The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has criticized his Plateau State counterpart, Jonah Jang, for “parading” himself as the chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum with a spiteful rebuke to stop “Jang-ing” about the position.

Mr. Oshiomhole spoke on Thursday at the ninth Triennial Delegates Conference of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Abuja, where he berated labour leaders for failing to publicly condemn the controversy that has trailed the election.

“When the facts are so clear, Comrade President of TUC, you can’t be quiet. You must take a position, if you believe from all that you have heard and seen. If you believe that Jang won, say so. And if you know that he did not, tell him to stop Janging,” Mr. Oshiomhole said, referring to the president of the Trade Union Congress, Peter Esele. '

WHEN AND HOW TO TALK ABOUT S-EX WITH YOUR KIDS

Talking to your kids about the birds and the bees is a task most parents may cringe doing. If you are also one amongst them, you should know that it is highly important that your little ones learn about it from you instead of other sources like the media or friends of the same age or pornography. Not only is there a chance that they get wrongly informed; but not being able to share their doubts with you creates an impression that it is a bad thing and should be spoken about only behind closed doors. While it may be a task you wish to avoid, it is essential for them to learn about it. s-exual health experts Dr Vijayasarathi Ramanathan, Rachel Hercman and Dr Paul Joannides explain the importance of imparting s-ex education by parents to their kids.

Venezuelans filed past the open casket of late President Hugo Chavez as he lay in state on Thursday after throngs of weeping loyalists gave the firebrand leftist a rousing farewell on the streets.
As Venezuelans began three days of goodbyes, an election to succeed Chavez loomed, after the curtain came down on a 14-year socialist presidency that heightened class tensions in the oil-rich South American nation.
Hundreds of thousands waved flags and chanted “Chavez lives” as his hearse crawled across the capital Wednesday in a seven-hour trip from the hospital where he died to the academy he once called his second home.

See Photo: Burkina Faso’s Bancé Has A Message For Nigerian Soccer Fans… ‘Forget About The Face’

Aristide Bancé, Burkina Faso’s centre forward was the b*tt of jokes in Nigeria not because he tormented Nigeria’s defence when both side clashed during the just concluded AFCON 2013 in South Africa but due to his looks. The FC Augsburg of Germany striker was often given uncomplimentary remarks by Nigerian fans but the dreadlocks wearing player has posted a picture of himself on Instagram purportedly targeted at his naysayers with the caption ‘Rich & Famous Forget About the Face People!’
Maybe his latest effort will get the ‘haters’ off his back or just fuel their disdain for him. Only time will tell.

Rapper Tweets About Driving Drunk, Then Dies Few Minutes Later

A rapper who thought that it was fun to brag on Twitter about drinking and driving died shortly after sending his last tweet. The California rapper hit a wall in Ontario, Canada, killing all passengers in the car. Inkyy, whose real name is Ervin McKinness, was just 21 years old when the incident took place. I would expect that he had promising career, since most brothers in California aren’t driving around Canada in the middle of the night.
