President Jonathan has appointed a new Head of Service of the federation. He is Dr Danladi Irmiya Kifasi. Until his appointment, Dr Kifasi was a permanent secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum resources. He succeeds Mallam Bukar Goni who retired recently.

Damilola Adegbite: Tall, curvy and sexy, Damilola seems to be on top of the game. Daniella Okeke:
She recently bragged about her voluptuous booty, but one thing we think she should brag about more often is her acting talent, which got her a nomination in the Best Actress category of this year’s AMAA, alongside Monalisa Chinda and Uche Jombo for their roles in the movie, ‘Lagos Cougars.’ A graduate of Fine and Applied Arts from Delta State University, Daniella has starred in movies including ‘Show me heaven’, ‘Indecent desires’ and ‘The evangelist.’

Deyemi Okanlawon: Regarded as the foremost online series actor, Deyemi has appeared in over 15 made-for-internet productions, including ‘Gidi up’, ‘Knock knock’, ‘Iredu’ and ‘Blink’, for which he was awarded Best Actor in a Short Film at the In-Short Film Festival. His attempt at a feature length movie, ‘ZR-7,’ in which he played Alabi, got him positive reviews. He is an alumnus of UNILAG and The NYFA and hopes to produce and direct his own movies sometime in the future.

Femi Jacobs: His romance with movies started in 2006 with the movie ‘Choices’, which was directed by Dan Obaseki. ‘Tango’, a TV series, followed, as did ‘Tinsel’, before he appeared in the Mildred Okwo directed movie, ‘The Meeting’, which brought him fame and an AMAA Best Actor nomination. Jacobs, who is also a songwriter, singer and music director of The Fountain of Life Church, was on set for over 12 movies in 2013 and will again be appearing in Rita Dominic’s upcoming movie, ‘La Femme Anjola.’.

Gbenro Ajibade: One time winner of the Most Outstanding Actor Model at the Nigeria Model Actors Awards, dreadlocked Gbenro Ajibade got into acting in a rather quirky way. He went to the MNet office under the impression they were looking for models, only to find out it was an audition. Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), Thursday handed over three new blocks of 42 ultra-modern classrooms at Iba Housing Estate Senior Secondary School, Ojo and Alice Ogbara Memorial Junior Secondary School, Sabo Oniba with a pledge that his administration’s commitment to the development of education remains unwavering.

The first two blocks of 24 classrooms handed over at Iba Housing Estate Senior Secondary School, Ojo, were constructed by the State Government while the other block of 18 classrooms was donated to the school by Mr. and Mrs. Modupe Folorunsho Alakija.

After the unexpected death of Haruna Tsokwa on Nobermber 4, Taraba state House of Assembly has elected a new Speaker.  The Assembly this morning elected Josiah Kente as new Speaker. He will replace Haruna Tsokwa, who died after a brief illness on November 4. Details of Mr. Kente’s election are, however, quite vague.

Again, I dropped and enrolled at the National Open University.

President Goodluck Jonathan has handed  the share certificates and licenses to 14 new investors of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN successor companies with an assurance that things are certain to get better in the energy sector. Jonathan described the process of the privatization programme as probably the most transparent in the annals of privatization in the country.

Meanwhile PHCN staff aren't happy about this improvement because their salaries are yet to be paid. They protested today in Government offices in Abuja and Lagos, and also warned the new investors to stay away from power installations for the present time until their demands are met.
