Parents arrested for growing Weed after their son calls police.. Read Full Story




Sometimes parents end up in jail because of their own son.  A husband and wife were arrested for growing marijuana at home when their teen son decided to call the police on them, authorities said. The Pennsylvania couple were taken away in handcuffs after a raid on their home turned up 18 pot plants along with growing equipment, such as lights, fans and timers, the news media reported.

The couple Caren Shanfield, 45, and Francis Joseph Medvedik, 49 they face charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy, possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.

Jonathan Attacks Obasanjo Again, Calls Him Confused And Unstable




President Goodluck Jonathan has again lashed out at ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, describing him as a confused man unstable in his views regarding government’s handing of the protracted Boko Haram insurgency.Mr. Jonathan, who spoke through his spokesperson, Reuben Abati, was reacting to Mr.  Obasanjo’s comment in a CNN  interview that the president had been deploying excessive force and exploring little or no dialogue in solving the Boko Haram problem.

Please Come And Spend $16 Billion In Our Energy Sector – FG Calls On Private Investors




It has been revealed that the Federal Government needs an investment of at least $16bn (N2.53tn) from the private sector to address the myriad of problems in the energy sector. This was revealed by the Project Manager, Bank of Industry/United Nations Development Programme, Mr. Femi Adaju, in Abuja at the second edition of the renewable energy investment forum.

Sanusi Makes U-Turn; Now Calls for Sack of 50% Political Appointees.Do You Agree ?





The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has lashed out on those calling for his sack over his purported statement that the federal government should reduce the work force in the country by 50%. He said he was not talking about the sack of civil servants but a substantial reduction in the size of political appointees who, according to him, take 70 percent of government revenue leaving a mere 30 percent for about 160 million Nigerians.

Imo Governor, Okorocha, Calls For The Scrapping Of NYSC





Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has called for the scrapping of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and advocated for the setting up of specialised institutions to improve the standard of education in the country. Okorocha who said this in a speech he delivered at the 50th anniversary lecture of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria in Kaduna State said the NYSC scheme had outlived its usefulness.
