Russia proves photos and videos of Syrian chemical attack were faked




Convincing evidence was demonstrated to the UN Human Right Council at its 24th session in Geneva, proving that photos and videos of victims of the Damascus chemical attack on August 21 were fake, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"A press briefing was held at the 24th session of the UN Security Council's Human Rights Council in Geneva on September 9 which dealt with human rights and armed conflicts, the US threat to use force against Syria and international law. International experts, Syrian public and religious leaders, and Rossiya 24 correspondent Anastasia Popova who has worked in Syria for a long time, presented their reports," it said in a statement posted on its website on Tuesday.

US military attack would be considered threat to Syria’s national security - Syrian oppositioner Maher Merhej



One of the Syrian opposition leaders warned Washington that the American troops in the region would be attacked by squads of suicide bombers formed by the Syrian opposition in case Obama attacked Syria, Secretary General of the Syrian National Youth Party al-Chabaab, Maher Merhej, said in an exclusive interview with the Voice of Russia.

"Motherland is more important than opposing the government", said Maher Merhej, secretary-general of the Syrian opposition party Al Chabaab in his interview to the Fars News Agency (FNA) on August 31.

Heartless: Hacked e-mails/documents reveal Syria chemical attack was staged, sponsored by US ( See Snapshot Of Documents)





A hacker by the name of €Wagn3r claims to have hacked approximately 20 members of the Pentagon and some of their spouses. In their emails US Colonels utilize a high number of military acronyms which, when looked, up point to a conversation about intelligence budgets and how to fund operations. The correspondence indicates the US government was the most probable sponsor of the latest chemical attack in Syrian Ghouta.

US marine ships join Navy destroyers in Mediterranean for possible Syria attack



The USS San Antonio, an amphibious assault ship carrying about 300 Marines, has joined five Navy destroyers in the Eastern Mediterranean for a possible US strike against the Syrian government.

The San Antonio has not received specific tasking, but it is being kept in the area as a “prudent decision should ship capabilities be required” during a Syria contingency, a defense official said.

Syrian rebels braced for offensive coinciding with foreign attack



According to Arab media, the Syrian rebels are braced to launch an all-out offensive minutes within the widely expected American attack on the Assad regime. They are reported to be going to seize Damascus and oust Bashar Assad from power. The rebels have already amassed forces outside Damascus and in northern Syria. The Syrian armed forces said on Saturday they will fight to the bitter end in the event the Americans launch an aggression against their country.

Ex B2k member Raz B on life support after bottle attack in China



Former B2K member Raz B, who has been living in China for the past three years, was smashed in the face with a bottle on Thursday night. According to TMZ Raz was performing at a club in Zhejiang when he noticed a fight pop off in the crowd. Raz left the stage to try and break up the fight and got hit in the mouth with a glass bottle by one of the brawlers. 

Security moved in fast and both Raz and his attacker were taken to the police station, but after it was determined that Raz was not at fault he was released to the hospital. 

Raz required a 1-hour surgical procedure and 4 stitches to repair the wound to his mouth. His attacker was ordered to pay him $5,000 for medical expenses.

The morning after the attack Raz B did not wake up. He's now on life support.

Gunmen kill 42 in school attack in Nigeria: Medical Worker



Gunmen believed to be Islamists from Nigeria's Boko Haram insurgent group killed 42 people, mostly students, in an overnight attack on a secondary school in restive Yobe state, a medical worker and residents said Saturday.

"We received 42 dead bodies of students and other staff of Government Secondary School (in) Mamudo last night. Some of them had gunshot wounds while many of them had burns and ruptured tissues," Haliru Aliyu of the Potiskum General Hospital told AFP.
Mamudo is some five kilometres from Potiskum, the commercial hub of Yobe State which has been a flashpoint in the Boko Haram insurgency in recent months.

A French soldier was stabbed in the throat in a busy commercial district outside Paris on Saturday, and the government said it was trying to determine if there were any links to the brutal killing of a British soldier by suspected Islamic extremists.

President Jonathan condemns terror attack in Britain

President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed shock at the terrorist attack and killing of a British soldier, Drummer Lee Rigby of the 2nd Battalion the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers in the Woolwich area of London, United Kingdom; and strongly condemns this unfortunate incident.
He conveys his sincere condolences to the British Prime Minister David Cameron and the British people over this senseless and barbaric act, and shares their grief at this moment.
President Jonathan notes that a terrorist attack anywhere is an attack on the way of life of all free nations and must be collectively condemned by all persons irrespective of race, ethnicity or religion.
It is in this spirit that the Nigerian government is partnering with the British Government, as well as all other stakeholder sovereigns to stand up to and fight terrorism and extremism in whatever guise or pretense it chooses to present itself.

Police confirm attack on Katsina police station




Daura – Katsina State Police Command on Friday confirmed the death of five suspected gunmen who attacked two police stations and four banks on Thursday in Daura.
The Nigerian Army had earlier announced the death of three soldiers during the shooting.
Briefing newsmen in Daura, the Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abdullahi Magaji, said one of the suspects was killed on Thursday night while the other four were trailed and killed on Mani-Dutsi road around 9.30 a.m. on Friday.

Kaduna – The Nigerian Army on Friday confirmed that three soldiers were killed in an attack by gunmen in Daura, Katsina State.
Maj.-Gen. Garba Wahab, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, Nigerian Army, who disclosed this to newsmen in Kaduna, said several of the attackers were also killed.
He said that the army and other security personnel had cordoned off three areas in the city and were conducting a house-to-house search “to fish out some of the wounded gunmen who forced their way into peoples’ homes’’’.
He also said that the army was coordinating with security agencies in Niger Republic as “80 to 90 per cent of these gun men are not Nigerians’’.

Gunmen launch fresh attack on police barracks in Borno, chanting Allahu Akbar




Barely a week after the military, police and prison formations in Bama, Borno State were attacked by Boko Haram gunmen, police barracks in the outskirts of the township were attacked by the terror suspects with Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs, and petrol bombs in the early hours of yesterday.

An anonymous female resident of the barracks said in a telephone chat: “The gunmen came on motorcycles and tricycles at about 3 a.m. and started chanting Allahu Akbar(God is great), before detonating the bombs that triggered the burning of these houses. We had to flee in the night.

Following attack on Syria, Israel deploys Iron Dome missile defenses in the north





The IDF has moved two Iron Dome anti-missile installations to northern Israel. The move follows media reports according to which Israel took out two weapons shipments in Syria. The installations were moved overnight Saturday, and have been set up in Haifa and Tzfat.
Apparently bracing for possible retaliation, Israel deployed two Iron Dome missile defense batteries in the north of the country on Sunday morning, hours after it reportedly struck a shipment of Iranian missiles bound for Hezbollah near Damascus.

11 Killed As Gunmen Attack Adamawa Deputy Governor’s Residence





At least 11 people have been killed in an early morning attack on Midlu village in Adamawa state, while staging an attack on the residence of the state’s Deputy Governor.

The Deputy Governor’s country home where he normally spends his weekend was alleged attacked by the gunmen who murdered two police guards attached to his house before setting the building ablaze. The raid reportedly lasted over two hours.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mohammed Ibrahim, confirmed the attack stating that unidentified gunmen raided Midlu village, in Madagali local government area of the state, and attacked the home of the state deputy governor, Bala Ngalari.

''I Spoke With The Bomber Before He Struck'' – Survivors Of Kano Attack Recount Ordeal



In his account, Emmanuel Bassey, a 40-year-old bus park tout who survived the blast revealed his encounter with the suicide bomber before he struck.
Bassey who claimed to work for Ezewanta Group of Motors stated that “the guy came in a blue Golf car, I could recall that he was dark in complexion and appeared to be in his mid 30’s. He was calm during my brief interaction with him and did not look harmful. I asked him where he was going, and he said, ‘I have not decided’, and in no time some of my colleagues at the park  were rushing towards him and suddenly he sped off, applied brake close to a loaded vehicle and in a twinkle of an eye, I heard a loud bang that sent me sprawling on the ground”, Bassey explained.

Jos: Women Attack STF Officers In Riyom, Injure Six



Six officers of the Special Task Force (STF) in Jos, Plateau state have been injured when they were attacked by some Berom women in Rim village in Riyom local government area of the state.
A statement by STF’s media and information officer Captain Salisu Mustapha said the women became violent and started hurling insult, and throwing dangerous objects including stones  at STF personnel who were on a search operation in the area; injuring six of them in the process.
“What happened in Rim was a usual random check and search operation that is conducted by STF in recent times all over the state against which the women mobilized themselves and prevented the personnel from doing their work and started calling for the withdrawal of the troop from Rim.
